Satria Replacement Model

Well, well. Looks like good old Proton is about to launch the Satria Replacement Model. Have a look. :D

IMHO, it have strong resemblance of Gen2, most probably all future Proton models will have similiar styling. Interestingly the headlightly seems to take a page from recent BMW models design.

P/S: From the image quality I can safely assume that it is taken using a cameraphone. (My cameraphone pictures looks like this also anyway). That's why cameraphone is forbidden at some workplaces. ;)

Ushering the New Year

Time flies fast, only after a few weeks without any blog update this post become the first in 2005. There's lot of things to share but being busy with many activities such aas the recent Raudhah Festival which is filled with many events such as forums, talk show, sports and stage show. Considering this is the only Raudhah Festival I will participate as a student of the Matrciulation Centre so I took the oppurtunity to attend many of the event. The next Raudhah Festival is during Semester 2, 2005/2006 which I would not take as I'm supposed to complete my matriculation programme the semster before.

Many of the event mainly comprises of forums and talk shows with many wise and insightful panelists. One of the forum regarding peace is moderated by Nizal Mohd of TV3 with panelists from Mercy Malaysia, Global Peace Malaysia, and our very own Political Science lecturer. This event was jointly organized by Medical and Pharmacy Student Society with Law Student Society. (An odd combination actually) The other forum that I attend is 'I'm a Muslimah, the Truth is Out There' organized by Persatuan Seni Silat Cekak Malaysia, MCIIUM as the person in charge of the technical aspects. At first I should only take care for the minus one for the Nasyid show by my friends' group Al-Madani but I end up taking care of the audio visual aspect of the whole programme. Al-Madani make their debut in MCIIUM with their two very own song 'Sentuhan Kejayaan' and 'Buatmu Ibu'.

We also have concert by Brotherz and Mirwana which gave such an energetic and powerful performance. Brotherz sang more than ten songs while Mirwana presented three songs. Jointly organized by English Student Society with Arabic Student Society this combination have lots of differences (different language, culture, and mindset - go figure) but they managed to handle the event successfully. Meanwhile, the combination of two distinctly different society GETAR (Peforming arts) and Computer Club results in the explosive Malam Puisidra: Bukan Salah Cinta. Welding together poem recitation, theatre, slide shows and videography the perfomance with the theme of love garnered the highest attendance. My friend and I was lucky to get a seat. Others have to stand to watch the show. Our very own dean, Tn. Hj. Abbas Hassan also performed that night as one of the actors. A lover of arts he performed exceptionally that night with his lively acting.

Other than Raudhah Festival, I was quite busy with quizzes, tests and assignments. I managed to score in the Arabic Test which gave me a solid carry mark for the subject.

Without any grand celebration of new year (which I don't bother actually) the capital seems quiet. As for my friends of Al-Madani and I we celebrated New Year with the creation of two new songs. With the theme of family love and care Adil created the song 'Keluarga Bahagia' (temporary title) which I adapted to English with a tentative title of 'Light of Love'. The creation of the two songs took us a week and I'm very happy and grateful that we succeed. But as the lyrics and song had not been properly copyrighted I shall not publish it for the time being.

Looking back at 2004 there's so things had took place. Up and down, success and failures, loss and gains. Alhamdulillah, even though marred by several setbacks and losses 2004 had been a great year for me especially the second half of it which I have achieved many success, discovering new friends and talents, and gained many new experience.

New year resolutions? Well, I don't want to repeat what my fellow blogger had write. Nevertheless, I can say that the very essence is continous improvement, constant effort and exploring new frontiers for myself, family and the ummah.

Wishing all of you a happy and prosperous new year.
